This is the best dream home I have seen so far.
http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/green_home/ What is the most "Green" feature? Well I think it is the size. At about two thousand square feet of heated area it is a great step in the direction of curbing over consumption. The amount of stuff we consume is one of the biggest problems facing American's today. It wasn't that long ago that an 1800 sq. ft. home was considered to be large. We currently import over 60% of the softwoods used to construct a house from clear cutting operations in Canada. So clearly for a home to be "sustainable" it would probably have to use something around 40% less wood than the current average house. (assuming that we can produce more domestically than we currently are) |

I agree with you Chris! I signed up to win the home too. I could vacation there!

Hehe, me too.
Oh and congrats on your own LEED platinum and 5 star Energy Star rated home. That was much better than this one. |
